About this deal

As usual, there is plenty of explosive, thrilling action, but also lots of home and school personal stuff which is just as enjoyable and gripping. The dialogue is very natural and believable even in a futuristic setting and the reader quickly feels both absorbed and invested in the adventure. Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first.

Booklist Cameron delivers an energized and goofy romp featuring siblings whose relationship is equal parts bickering, rivalry, and camaraderie-just like that of many human brothers. The graphic novel is beautifully illustrated and coloured and can stand confidently alongside the best graphic novels for adults. A ridiculously fun, action-packed graphic novel about two robot brothers who take turns saving the world of the future. David Fickling Books/Phoenix Comics) In Mega Robo Bros 3: Robot Revenge, the story of Alex and Freddy Sharma continues. No one is safe – prepare for giant robot beefeaters, flying tube trains, and rocket-powered sibling rivalry! The objects in the playroom are generated from (checks notes) a programmable matrix of three-dimensional force field shapes.

But when a robotic genius threatens to level the city it's time for Freddy and Alex to step up to the plate and show what they're really made of (a sort of titanium polyblended alloy over a mechanised combat chassis, just a guess). But far beneath the ground in the tunnels of London's old tube network, defunct and discarded robots are being rescued and repaired. For me, I have to smile to myself at the brilliant observations of Freddy and Alex's parents, dad wears that totally exasperated slightly hang-dog look I sometimes get when I look in the mirror after my daughter has pointed out how unreasonable I am for not letting her eat three peanut butter cups before bedtime. That is until they have to battle the other robots of London under the control of the evil Robot 23. Alex and Freddy just want to go to school and play football like normal kids, but as the world’s most powerful and famous robots, they can’t have it all their own way. I would not want to give anything away about potential future stories, but I think it is safe to say: UNBEARABLE. British Comic Award-winner Neill Cameron’s MEGA ROBO BROS graphic novel epic explodes into its most exciting instalment yet! I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic!
