This modern-day luxury champagne is presented in an opaque bottle covered with a layer of metal with a gold sheen. The first release from Champagne Armand de Brignac, the Brut Gold remains the most iconic cuvée in the range.

This is the most prestigious Cuvée of the maison, a traditional example of Champagne Brut, extraordinary complex and luxurious. I realised that even if the bottle leaves the manufacturer's in perfect condition, the positioning of the screws means that if the bottle rotates in the box during transit the screws will scratch it.The maison adds a unique dosage to each of its Brut Gold cuvées; aged for one year in French oak barrels, this creates an impressive toastiness and a creamy mouthfeel. This is the third bottle delivered as the first was damaged on the gold glass, the second the display box was very badly scratched the third was ok. The family spent centuries in improving the Champagne production and their knowledge is to be found in every Cuvée Armand de Brignac. Each bottle by the Maison Armand de Brignac has no label, but is inserted into a wooden box with a tin plate, expressing elegance and refineness even in its presentation.

This meticulous attention to detail ensures the juice abounds with vibrant fruit character, soft texture and balanced acidity. The Armand de Brignac champagnes stem from the Champagne region's prestigious crus, located in the Montagne de Reims (Rilly-la-Montagne, Chigny-les-Roses and Ludes).
