About this deal

I like this most as it moves from the front of the tongue to the middle of the palate, where those sweet notes from the nose reemerge.

Bunnahabhain whisky was founded in 1881 and today is the only distillery on the island of Islay to use pure spring water in its production process.I'd been highly fond of the affordable nature of Glen Scotia Victoriana of late and they have a lot in common in their sherried sweetness and their gentler approaches to more commonly robustly dealt out Isla style angles. These now sit amongst a broadening core range, but at the heart of that, we look at the middle child here.

Matured for 18 years in various ex bourbon and sherry casks, this rich and full bodied single malt is a pleasantly sweet and warm malt produced at the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye. Non-chill filtered and natural colour, taste the origins of Bunnahabhain with an alluring balance of sweet fruit, nuts, vanilla and a delicate coastal influence. As this exceptional journey unfolds, you'll discover a rich, honeyed nuttiness with just a subtle hint of sea salt. Unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise, your use of and membership to the Service are exclusively governed by Dutch law. In short, a swirling dance with the more fulsome side of whisky but without being beaten round the gullet with it.After some time in the glass, the fruit turns from orange to darker sherry aromas and the beautiful acidity of the juicy orange takes on a little salty character. The Service and your account are for your personal use only and may not be shared with any third parties.
