The sound doesn't suffer from dynamic range compression at all, on the contrary the separation between the quiets parts and the overall dynamic punch was very well done by the mastering engineer.I think the mastering and sound is better than the CD but it's too subjective, if you think the digital version doesn't sound very good, I don't want to advise that you would find the vinyl that much better. I don't think the digital version sounds very good I'm wondering if this is an overly better sounding version of the album? The sound is also quite fuzzy compared to my other records but i’m not sure if that is on purpose or not? LDR has a voice that can make your entire world disappear into nothing but the turning reels of tape in front of your eyes and the audio coming through the headphones.

Venice b***h has a completely different feeling on the record and the crash in towards the end of the track are clearer thant the digital master.
