Pros of getting a double buggy that can be adapted as full travel system is that you will only ever need 1 buggy and it will be adaptable to whatever situation you face. Welcome to Part 2 of posts about a couple of products I love that have been life changing for me in getting out and about with my son using a wheelchair and my daughter a stroller.

I highly recommend this as a solution to having a child who uses a wheelchair and a pretoddler/toddler and needing to take them both to appointments/ therapies/ errands etc. When a child needs to sit down because he or she is tired or simply jealous of his or her newborn siblings, he or she has a comfortable and soft seat at his or her "old" stroller and when he or she decides it is big enough that he or she prefers to travel standing up, all we have to do is to remove by unscrewing the seat and the buggy board becomes a traditional standing platform in a few seconds. While pushing my pram with the buggy board attatched one side of the buggy board came off and it broke and sent my little boy flying! Ride-on boards (better known as buggy boards) convert a single pushchair into a double child carrier with very little fuss or cost.

It depends a lot on your lifestyle and approaches to things but if it was me with your age gap I would get a double.
