Stream It Or Skip It: ‘Leo’ on Netflix, in Which Adam Sandler Voices a Lizard Who's Also a Child Psychologist I'm not excited. After 1st(?) big trailer, I'm disappointed in the movie. Donkey Kong looked stupid. Mario looked and sounded stupid. This Chris Pratt's voice... At the end of the trailer I've started crying because of the things that I've seen and heard in the trailer. Also, I'm disappointed by the Japanese cast of the movie! Kappei Yamaguchi(Kuma from Persona series, Hifumi Yamada and Jin Kirigiri* from Danganronpa series, L from Death Note) was quite a PERFECT candidate for both Mario and Luigi roles. Kappei can make high(and annoying) voice(Kuma, Hifumi Yamada), and he's able to make low, deep, manly, and charming voice(Jin Kirigiri, L) as well! At least, Kenta Miyake is a very good choice for King Kuppa/Bowser role... Oh, and yeah - in JP dub Mario is voiced by Mamoru Miyano(Yuri Lowell from Tales of Vesperia), and Luigi is voiced by... I don't remember. I'm quite disappointed in both Eng and JP dub for the movie. Chris Pratt is miscast, and Mamoru Miyano is miscast. Oh, and what's about Russian dub... I don't care about this one. There is no good actor or voice actor who can be a good candidate for Mario and Luigi's voices, imo. But, despite all this... I want to know - am I wrong or not. And I will go to the cinema to watch this movie. With my friends, probably... Though they don't care about Super Mario...
