The change of driver material coating has subtly changed things for the better. The Poseidon are both punchier and airier while maintaining that deliciously smooth character delivered by the Zeus. A side-grade perhaps, but in this case, a worthwhile one. Decay shows a very fast recovery of the driver, much faster than that of Erzetich Mania for example that costs a lot more. This reading is strongly reinforcing my impressions of a fast-moving driver. All of these issues might be acceptable if the Zeus Elite had very good technicalities. But compared to other similarly-priced headphones, like the aforementioned Sennheiser HD600, the Zeus Elite are a step down in every regard. Overall, Zeus seems to be targeting the Harman OE 2017 curve, that focuses mostly on a great bass and treble performance at the cost of a recessed upper midrange and I’m fine with that.

Overall, I find it good when it comes to depth, imaging and less so when it comes to soundstage size. The number of adjustments that are available on the Poseidon is fine enough to allow for a wide variety of head sizes, so I wouldn’t worry about finding the right fit in the headband adjustments.

When listening to the headphones, I immediately noticed very accurate and smooth low frequencies with a slight shift in emphasis to the midbass, and complementary smooth mids with a rather smooth but accentuated approach to the upper middle, which personally, to my ears, gives a slight brightness to the vocals and makes their production more forward,but I liked the high frequencies for their duration and good resolution!

Midrange.: This is the honey pot. This is the end of the rainbow regarding this Gear. This is a mids dominated sonic treat. This is what you want in your Arya, and your HD800, but you didnt get it, and those are fine products. But THIS is a : "sounds like a British company made it"....Its almost too harmonically complex, actually. cross-sectional area: 0.1mm⊃2;*4 / 27AWG*4” This cable on Aliexpress appears to be very similar to the included cable with the Zeus.
