About this deal

The Inn on Harmony Island by Anne-Marie Meyer is the first book in the Sweet Tea and a Southern Gentleman series.

The friend-next-door-all-grown-up is a fun idea and I loved how Josh and Beth came together once again. and don’t even get me started on abigail’s chapters… they added nothing to the book and were completely unnecessary… and she’s not even a big character like i get she’s supposed to be friends with shelby but that relationship never developed. She is only ever referenced and is almost completely non verbal, apparently she's always giggling and that's the only trait to her. Well written, fleshed out characters, and a family I'm looking forward to reading more about make this story a winner. Ultimately, the protagonists proclaim their love for one another after 2 or 3 days having done nothing more than hold hands once or twice. The “BIG SECRET” and source of much of the tension in the story was weak and could have been handled in ways to make the heroine less annoying. Would also be open to other recommendations that feature a swoon worthy over protective dad but would also like to track down this book.

Shelby was just fired and wants to maintain this big, shining image of a successful woman (which she apparently is not because she needs to make a deal with a Ken-wannabe to be seen together in public and get publicity). Additionally, a thesaurus is needed because after the third or fourth “she pinched her lips”, I was rolling my eyes. In between the overdose of emotionalistic nonsense is a decent story if you're willing to skim thru the frequently irrational angst.

She loves to take her favorite moments in the books and movies she loves and tries to figure out a way to make them new and fresh. There was zero character development, I felt absolutely no connection to either of the main characters. I enjoyed the easy flow between the two when they could get out of their own heads and enjoy themselves without second guessing themselves and each other.

Sparks fly and just when they discover they may be wrong about each other, facts come to light and Christine’s boss gets in the way. She published “Forgetting the Billionaire,” her debut novel, in 2017 and has never looked back since. Cade is pleased to be working with her and she starts wondering if there is some kind of scheme hatched.

This clean standalone romance was fun and entertaining while it touched my heart with angst, trust issues, and love as these two reluctant people tried to stay professional guarding and navigating their growing feelings thru an incredible journey of secrets, interference, working n. Even though Beth is no longer the lanky girl next door, Josh isn't looking for a relationship anyway. While Anne-Marie Meyer never thought she would become an author, she always loved reading romance novels. Writing in the first person and getting into young people’s heads has always been a lot of fun and this is what she knows how to do.

What her father does not know is that she spends every minute during practice staring at Tyson Blake. But what the principal does not know is that they have a history which makes it hard for Penny to work with him. By the time he comes back she already asleep with the kid in her arms and he carries both of them to the room.

I loved the fact the author wrote the story about About Miles an the love he has for his daughter, and the patients he has for the love of his life and made sure to tell her he will be there for her when she is ready to leave the bad in the pass and to finally be happy !
