The engine is really named Hogwarts Castle in the films - Hogwarts Express applies only to the express service itself, and not the locomotive. The fifth coach may have been added due to the fact that it has a luggage rack which the other four lacked, the luggage rack was needed so Harry could eavesdrop on a conversation involving Draco Malfoy.
