About this deal

To be mindful of what’s going on and to understand yours and other people’s emotions at that moment. Told in his own words, I really enjoyed how Jason narrated his story which meant that none of the details or emphasis were lost. He also fronted Meet the Drug Lords: Inside the Real Narcos, where he revisited some of his frontline experience in the battle against illicit drugs and came face to face with some of the types of gangster he used to be charged with targeting. I’ve had some incredible experiences – some good, some bad – and I genuinely feel honoured that people want to hear about them. I’ve heard of people whose successful businesses were ruined by a negative relationship with alcohol.

Having enjoyed SAS Who Dares Wins and seen Foxy reveal his issues mentally after being discharged from special services, enjoyed this read where he pulls from his military life and relates lessons he’s learned to “normal” life. If you read this book expecting a similar work to fellow sas who dares wins star ant Middleton then you will be disappointed as this is a different type of book. The Book of Man in various affiliate marketing programs, which means Book of Man gets paid commissions on purchases made through our links to retailer sites.

Battle Scars tells the story of Jason Fox’s career as an elite operator, from the gunfights, hostage rescues, daring escapes and heroic endeavours that defined his service, to a very different kind of battle that awaited him at home.I found his therapeutic relationship with the civilian psychologist who so ably supported and empowered him particularly striking - this comes across very strongly in the book, and in such a thought-provoking manner.
