We all should actively indulge in activities that increase our knowledge, increase our Imaan because our Prophet ﷺ believed that knowledge brought us closer to Allah. it made me really sad to put down this book without finishing it, but it really wasn’t what i was looking for— it’s very superficial and reads like “pointers” than an actual biography. i was looking for smthn a bit more in depth and proper, with citations and direct verses/incidents that have translated to islam as it is now. sadly this wasn’t anything of the sort and i, well, didn’t want to read my grade 7 islamiat book all over again. The important aspect of writing a biography is to mention authentic events with credible references to maintain its authenticity.

I liked this a lot better than Sealed Nectar (which I never finished). Obviously i read the English translations and i think this is a lot easier to read, less stiff. It's really well written--the battle of Uhud read like a novel, honestly. Nevertheless, many readers may still find certain concepts, terms, or even certain events difficult to comprehend.The book covers all stages of His (PBUH) life and covers a wide range of topics. Quran 54:1–2 was part of the debate between medieval Muslim theologians and Muslims philosophers over the issue of the inviolability of heavenly bodies. The philosophers held that nature was composed of four fundamental elements: earth, air, fire, and water. These philosophers however held that the composition of heavenly bodies were different. This belief was based on the observation that the motion of heavenly bodies, unlike that of terrestrial bodies, was circular and without any beginnings or ends. This appearance of eternity in the heavenly bodies, led the philosophers to conclude that the heavens were inviolable. Theologians on the other hand proposed their own conception of the terrestrial matter: the nature was composed of uniform atoms that were re-created at every instant by God (the latter idea was added to defend God's omnipotence against the encroachment of the independent secondary causes). According to this conception, the heavenly bodies were essentially the same as the terrestrial bodies, and thus could be pierced.
