About this deal

LED Joblight – high brightness twin LED joblight with pre-glow and after glow functions. Illuminating the working area for greater visibility during application Brushless BLDC motor specially designed to provide, above all, more work amount on a single full battery charge

Yup the 458 drains batteries rather fast, Don't think I can even mix 3batches of plaster when 4ah battery is already drained, but other than that I have had no complains. There are twin LED job lights with afterglow once the variable speed trigger is released and a new side handle configuration gives light tool control. Coupled with the soft grip ergonomic handle design positive drill-driver capability is assured. It weighs just 2.7kg, and is more compact (20mm shorter) than the previous BHP458 model. Batteries and charger sold separately. MAKITA DHP481Z FEATURES My gearbox for dhp458 is slowly going/acting up and I know the drill won't really last for long, but that's ok as I have used&abused that drill and used it as mixer almost every other day and it has given me a good service for 4years.

While the new DHP486 combi hammer drill does look similar to the original DHP481, Makita has confirmed that it is the most robust drill in its class, thanks to the 130 Nm of torque it offers from its brushless motor. This allows the tightening of heavy-duty fasteners, for example, a 9 x 50mm lag bolt in screwdriver mode. Another reason users will love this new model is that it’s approximately 14% smaller than the DHP481. Measuring just 178 x 81 x 248mm, it’s more likely to fit into compact spaces, thanks to the optimised gear assembly design. Impacts Per Minute and No-Load Speed Speed Mechanical Gearing – high speed mode produces 2,100rpm for rapid drilling speed while low speed produces high levels of torque to suit high load operation. Durable build: The efficient brushless motor means a longer tool life and longer-lasting battery charge. Thanks to Makita's Extreme Protection Technology (XPT), this resists dust and drips helping it to endure the test of time.Compact Design – for improved handling and control the overall length has been reduced by 27mm vs. the previous model
