About this deal

The Blu-rays themselves are a must-own too, representing some of the best restoration we’ve seen yet across these Collection sets, with the picture and sound massively improved upon since the episodes were last released on DVD almost a decade ago. Sacha Dhawan for instance offers up insights and makes comparisons regarding his own performance as the Master when presented with the original portrayal. The additional scenes don’t particularly add much to the story but they are nice to have reinstalled. Think for ones that have full episodes it will just be the links on their respective stories and for ones that are clip shows (tom and Colin) they will include the full thing. A classic season from the Third Doctor - all 25 episodes newly remastered and packed with bonus material.

And that’s not all, he must also contend with the arrival of his deadliest foe – arch nemesis the Master. Over the whopping EIGHT discs there is a wealth of additional features; studio footage, treats from the archive including BBC production files, convention footage, photo galleries, scripts, costume designs and even more.Products labelled '*item fulfilled by Exertis on behalf of hmv' will be supplied to you directly by Exertis via their approved couriers.

I haven’t watched the sun makers, underworld or the invasion of time in quite sometime so it wouldn’t be nice to watch those again. They’ve asked for proof of purchase and said they should be able to get a new booklet out within 2 – 3 weeks.

And Colony in Space, whilst a tad overlong, has some clever social commentary about the dangers of colonialism peppered throughout its tale of sinister mining corporations and alien doomsday weapons. There aren’t many instances in this season where it feels like the script has been contorted to accommodate the Master, but Don Houghton’s story is the one that comes closest. The Second is a convention presentation by John Pertwee that is by far one of the best such presentations I've ever seen. Decided to get the standard edition of this blu ray set as the limited editions are getting too expensive, you get exactly the same content on each disc, the only difference is a slimmer case and the booklet has less pages.
